Mindfulness involves bringing one’s attention to the present moment in a nonjudgmental manner with kindness. Studies have shown remarkable improvement in the reduction of depression and anxiety symptoms due to the positive impact meditation has on reducing the left brain activity, “the doing mode”, in order to bring about a parasympathetic response. As a result, meditators feel more calm and centered, which contributes to the development of resiliency. As we know, resilient people are more capable of handling life’s many challenges.

The goal of the following course is to bring mindfulness both formally and informally into our lives to bring about long-term change in how we view and cope with our daily stressors.




















Courses held weekly for 6 weeks

Wednesdays from 8am to 9am

Course Instructor: Melody Jazeb, LCSW, BCD, ACT

Melody Jazeb is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with specialized training in mindfulness facilitation from Insight LA and the VA CALM program through the Greater Los Angeles VA Healthcare System. She also has expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for a variety of conditions, and is recognized as a Diplomate of Cognitive Therapy by ACT (The Academy of Cognitive Therapy). She incorporates mindfulness and CBT in her psychotherapy practice, and currently has a private practice in Glendale.


Cost: $40 per session = $240 for full course
